Hill Dickinson Stadium guide: Everton on the docks
After more than 130 years at Goodison Park, Everton moved in 2025 into a brand-new stadium built on a former dock of Liverpool's port. A spectacular setting on the Mersey: here's how to experience a match there.

Before you go: most overseas visitors, including EU and Swiss citizens, need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to enter the UK, from the official gov.uk site.
From the centre to the ground
The stadium is north of the city centre, on the Bramley-Moore docks. There is no public parking: come on foot, by train or by shuttle.
- On foot: about 30 minutes from the centre along the waterfront. The best way to arrive.
- Merseyrail train: Sandhills station, about 15 minutes' walk. Services are stepped up on matchdays. Moorfields is an alternative, 25 minutes on foot.
- Shuttle buses: the 919 from Commutation Row near Lime Street and the 929 from Liverpool ONE bus station, roughly every 10 minutes from three hours before kick-off.
Shuttle routes and times can change: check Merseytravel and club info before the match.
Buying an official ticket
- Official ticket office on evertonfc.com: priority to season ticket holders and club members.
- Wider sales: for some matches seats open to members and then the public. The new stadium, bigger than Goodison Park, improves your odds.
- Hospitality: the safest route for a specific date.
Watch out: in the UK, reselling a football ticket without the club's permission is a criminal offence. Avoid unofficial resale sites.
Where to sit
- South Stand: a huge single-tier stand behind the goal, built for atmosphere: this is where Everton's fans sing.
- Side stands: best view of the game.
- North Stand: behind the other goal.
The ground is compact with steep stands: the noise stays in, and you're close to the pitch everywhere.
